Behind the music video

Like I mention in early post, there was a music video event in brooklyn this week. I was there with a lot of fursuiters, dont know many of their names but you can see in below pic and tell me who is who if you know them. It was a lot of fun, it was for a band called The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and their song was called. Higher Than the Stars. I hoep I will be in a good amount of the video, it did not feel like I got to be in much more than the group shots while others got to be in a lot of individual shots but at least it fun and they did pay us fifty dollars each so that made me happy too :)

the band really liked us being there, they all said we were very awesome. So maybe there will be other fursuiting music videos in the future? I thank very much to Jay Van Buren for getting all the fursuiters in touch with teh music people, this would not be an opportunity without him.

Shymatsi also posted a video of some of the making of the video :)

Furfright

I was at furfright for a little while, just go there because fursuiting so much fun to do with friends and people who like fursuits. So many good fursuiters there, I feel a little shamed that I not do better myself. In the parade I was behiind the scary roshach and his lover enemy Holly (from the Batman cartoon). I forget my ball so instead I bring candy to give out :)

Not able to make it too second parade but still had fun when i was there saturday for a llitte while. Got my picture taken in headless lounge, oh and those three wolfenas were really funny - NO, it no seasoning! ^.^;;;

No camera on me so maybe there be pictures floating around? I see one video of parade and I in it for a second :P

Long Island Ducks

Yay! So yesterday I went to the Long Island Ducks game with Skyfire, Rapid T Rabbit, El Wereturkey, JD Puppy, Bobby Bobcat, Foxwell, JBadger, Division Faranheit, Rukario, and Shedz, I think that all.

Had a really good time though it very hot and sticky outside. The dodgeball game was very taxing, I was on the green team and since we battling against the mighty Duck it inevitible that we lose ^.^

After dogeball game we split up a bit and wander around, I got to do many autographs and pictures with people. This year was different from last year because there were more thing going on but I did not make it to singing take me out to the ballgame or dancing on the dugout. But weather made goig out much more difficult but still got to do a lot I think.

Skyfire and JbAdger took lots of photos and video so I hope I can make another post later :)

Autism Walks 2009

Yay, I had great fun on sunday at teh seaport in downtown Manhattan for the Autism Speaks event ^.^

I think my favorite picture involved me with a national celebrity - Geoffrey Giraffe!

I been negligendt in posting about fun fursuitnig events recently. Last couple weeks have included lots of fun and I thank the other fursuiters for helping to include me :)

Two weeks ago I was at the Green Earth Day at Grand Central, it was so hot though that I not be in suit for very long at a time. Also there was Bobby Bobcat, Coyoty, Damian as a Yellowjack thoguh I forgot the name, and RTR as the earth day Squirrel though I also forgot this name also. There was a lot of other people there and constantly changing in who was there because of high traffic so it didt get boring or stale for those watching. There was a rocker guy there who made me think of Guitar Hero :P

Then the next day hat same weekend I went to new Jersey with RTR and Damian and we met up with Chestnut Husky at the Lawrenceville Jamboree, I think that what it was, it was a bit of a small town fair that was lots of fun. Even hotter that day so not in costume as much as I want.

Then last weekend I went to the Hide Park MS Walk with Grizz and Chestnut Husky and then others who did camerawork, it was at the culinary school and is second time I get to attend in costume so I had lots of fun. They really like us being there and gave us volunteer shirts :)

Dooh Dah Parade 2009

On saturday I was at New Jersey as part of the Rapid T Rabbit and Friends group for the 2009 Dooh Dah parade, it was a lot of fun! So many people in mascot uniforms, but I dont really know the names of most of them so you should go to rapidtrabbits livejournal report because he knows them all and made a list :)

This is the second time I was able to attned this really fun parade and I had a lot of fun again. I bought a nice beach ball before the parade and before the parade started had a lot of fun playing with a bunch of kids and other mascots and adults. But then during the parade I guess I had gotten very tired because I wasnot bouncing around like I did last year :/ By end of parade I was so tired, I got into our building and got out of costume and disappeared fora long rest. I forget they had showers, I would like to fall asleep in a hot shower ^.^;;;

After the parade I wandered teh boardwalk for awhile and I found a Old Time photo place. Since before I commission Yargo Platz fursuit I wanted to do an old time photos with him ^.^ I asked jbadger if he want to get a picture with me, because it always more fun when you include others and especially when you in fursuit because the energy more than the sume of your parts, and he say yes :) So below I got a couple pictures from the photo place and the person at the place really liked us taking a photo so he asked if he can put copy in the customer book and of course we both say we love for him to do that.

This what happen when you go against the fandom ^.^

And this really good group shot was I think taken by skyfirefox. Donot know if that was everyone at the parade for our group, it look like most if not all :)

First off, and these types of posts shall be limited cuz I know peoples not always of like mind on the subject (one post here, one post the week of, and maybe one more post after results - no mores, I promise). on fursuittourney I up for vote on April 23 to 25, if you like my suit then vote for me but if you like other suit then vote for that - your vote counts so let it be herd ^.^

On other note... a little depressed because I came to conclusion that I not up for attending Elliots Spring Gathering. One thing they may do is go fursuit gokarting and that is something i always wanted to do but I am so tired from things going on right now that I cannot get the energy to think about attending. I would need to get plane ticket and then hotel room, and I already going to be in florida the week before for a family thing so I just think about all that and I get feeling that it would not work out. So tired of being stressed and tired all the time, not sure get joy out of going if i did attend so I think I wont :/

Sad news, I heard that Furp ( evil_dwagon ) died yesterday in an automobile accident. Not sure if I ever met Furp but the name sounds familiar, so I might have met or seen him at a convention at some point.

It sounds like he was a really great guy and had a very large positive impact on all those he knew and interacted with, I wish I could have known him. The furry fandom is diminished with his passing.

Attended last weekend and had much fun in the fursuit parades, so many suiters! Got to hug a lot of people and even though no beaches in connecticut people still made it feel like beachball fun with bouncing my bally around ^.^ Oh, and I didn't lose it this time, I was worried right before first parade that it would get caught in light again - do all these conventions use same lights?

Newark Bears

So much easier to write a post after others put down important details I woudnt otherwise remember :P

Yesterday went with other Hi-4 members to the Newark Bears baseball game. This one was important because it was partly to celebrate the bears mascot, Rip N' Ruppert's birthday. Also there was DreamWolf, el_wereturkey, foxwell, mortonfox, rapidtrabbit, and shy_matsi assisting with camera. There were other mascots there as well: Of course Ruppert for the Bears, but also Jack the Jackal (from NJ Jackals), the devil from NJ Devils, Sparkee (Somerset Patriots - for the opposing team that was playing), the Highlander (from NJIT), Max Reader (from REMAX), and the Commerce Bank Big Red "C", also Batman and the batcar was there too.

We started off just saying hi to the crowd from on the field, but with weather there werent a lot of people, then we participated in mascot dodgeball which was fun but a bit exhausting. Then more mingling with crowd before game began, we were lucky to suites for changing area and I went up there shortly after game began - muggy weather can make a platypus wet ^.^;;; While in suite I was half watching game while talking to others in the booth, all I see it pitcher for Bears throw ball and then the batter falls down. He hit him right in the head! Took him a couple minutes to get back up again, and then pitcher continued to play. Others in the suite said pitcher had hit two other people just before, and I think it was still in the first inning, wow. Then another batter almost got hit or did get hit, not sure, and then pitcher was taken off the field. Game began to improve after that, bears started off being down by two.

They also did a bat-driveby with the batman driving his car around the field with the bear mascot. Then a bit later they did a musical chair, which I think only RTR from our group joined in, he sortakinda came in second when he sat on teh winning bear :P I did join in the happy birthday to Ruppert and a bunch of kids that were sitting right by the fiedl, and after that they said there were no more mascot events and we could stay or go.

Stayed for a bit longer, a lot of kids enjoyed us being there. But then it started to rain a bit and most people were giving up on the game, we ended up leaving at the end of the game but being done a bit before that. In the end the Bears beat the Patriots by one point ^.^

Got home from FAU, had much fun :)

I really really like fursuiting, was bestest part of convention. I got to see a lot of nice looking fursuits, got pictures taken, and saw stuffs. Though, not as much at this con than others but that mostly because it only second year, Im sure itll be better next time. Some issues theyneed to work on like making sure everyone know what panels are about and where stuffs is (had to go by word of fur to find the con suite and again with consuite it not feel like open for enough time). Really hope they have art auction next year because I like buying furry arts and hope that conventions nearby where I dont have to fly let me add to collection, also hoping Furfright have that as well since not been to that one before but will this year ^.^

Bestest part I saw was with fursuiting and fun thing was that my job gave away these little beachballs on thursday, so when I went to convention I decided to bring it with me. Was sooo much fun, having a toy while fursuiting was greatgreat idea. But best ideas sometimes dont last long, brought it to fursuit parade and other furs playng with it and it got caught up in lights on ceiling... and stayed there whole con ^.^;;; So, bally is now gone.

Ooh, there was photoshoot at the pool too and I really look forward to seeing those pcitures. Especially if there pictures of me throwing people in the pool! And of serving drinks to the bestest raccoonfox there is - Foxwell :)

I definitely want to attend again to convention next year. Didnt have camera but if find pictures then will post as well.
